Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin. To deliver the pages to your browser and protect the service against disruption, the hosting provider processes technical connection data. This may include the IP address, time, requested file, volume of data transferred, response status, referrer and browser information.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliably accessible website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
According to STRATO’s published information, complete IP addresses are stored for a maximum of seven days to detect and prevent attacks. The access log files made available to customers contain anonymised IP addresses or hostnames and are available for the previous six weeks. Images, fonts and use of the website
The website uses locally hosted images and scripts, together with system fonts. It does not embed external maps, videos, social media widgets or advertising networks. No visitor counter or analytics service is used. The website sets no cookies and stores no individual user profiles in the browser.
The optional hive sound is loaded from this website only after you deliberately switch it on, and can be switched off at any time. Using this control does not send information to an external service. The print function and expandable background texts also work without transmitting data externally.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your sender address, the content of your message and any information you include in order to answer your enquiry. For an event enquiry, this may include details of the group, location and preferred time. Please send only data needed for your enquiry.
General enquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in communication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where an enquiry concerns preparing or performing a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. Necessary statutory retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Enquiry data is deleted when it is no longer needed for handling the enquiry, provided no statutory retention periods or legitimate interests in keeping evidence require otherwise. An email link opens your own email application. Your message reaches us only when you send it from there; the website does not submit a form.

Links to expert sources and other websites are opened only when you click them. The privacy information of the respective provider applies on the destination page. Simply reading this website does not send a request to a linked provider through a source or licence link.
